Empower your image editing skills and unleash your inner 'pro'

Attention all photo editing enthusiasts! If you thought you knew all the tips and tricks for enhancing your images, think again. A recent college course on instructional technology has revealed that there is still so much more to learn. Let’s start this post with the most interesting tool for image editing…

Thankfully there is a tool that can capture a screen shot of a paragraph, the beauty of a photo, or the certain part of a message. This tool not only captures but also empowers you to edit the image size, add your own words, or highlight the most important spots. It's like a magic wand for your digital content.

But if you want more than just a basic photo, you can move on to the next powerful tool that I didn’t realize could do so much…

Every millennial's favorite tool they learned in grade school...

As you can see, at first, I took a “Snipping Tool” image and then copied it over to PowerPoint to edit the image. While this was only a small add to the photo, PowerPoint is capable of adding so much more to basic images.

Providing many options to enhance your image. First, I started off by looking at and selecting “Picture Format”, you will learn that there are many options available to you for editing a photo.

Or to make the photo really catch the attention of those reading or viewing it, you can select the insert button and choose from Shape, Icons, or 3D Models.

Trying to step outside my comfort zone, I re-edited the photo from above to try the 3D model.

In the world of blogging, the ability to enhance your photos is a crucial skill. Photo editing not only elevates the quality of your images but also enables you to effectively convey your vision and mood to your audience. It plays a key role in advancing your professional and business objectives, making your content more impactful and engaging.

Discovering the extensive training resources available for PowerPoint has been a game-changer for me. It has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of its capabilities, empowering me to create visually compelling presentations that are essential for my blog.

Equipped with enhanced photo editing skills and a deep knowledge of PowerPoint's capabilities, I have seamlessly integrated these tools into my everyday work projects. The efficiency and effectiveness of PowerPoint, particularly in time-sensitive situations, have made it an invaluable asset for creating visually stunning content for my blog. Whether I'm developing management and training plans or crafting engaging presentations, PowerPoint has become my ultimate editing solution.

In summary, mastering photo editing and harnessing the power of programs like PowerPoint has significantly improved my blogging journey. It has empowering me to produce visually captivating content that hopefully resonates with my audience, thereby taking my blog to new heights, I hope.

  1. I think you are spot on about how helpful learning about photo editing is. Just from the start of this course I have learned how to use my online tools even more effectively be reading posts and completing assignments. I wish I was able to teach some technology classes at my school just because I want to share everything I am learning! I also think it would be neat to see everyone's instructional handout assignments to see how to use the various tools we all selected. Thank you for your post!

  2. The Snipping Tool is such a useful tool on a Windows device. Be sure to also check out the Snip & Sketch tool, the new version of Snipping Tool. Another thing I like about the snipping tools are being able to snip a still frame of a video.

On the topic of PowerPoint I wanted to share my favorite video about PowerPoint, it's about a Computer Science guest speaker who was only allowed to play with the Microsoft suite of programs when he used a computer as a kid. https://youtu.be/_3loq22TxSc
